With only a couple of days to explore Tallinn and Riga it seemed like a fantastic idea to kill two birds with one stone and combine the bus ride between these two cities with a tour of the two countries. I found a company called Traveller which does this very thing, and it turned out to be one of the best days of my European trip.
This video covers Viljandi, Valga, Gauja National Park, Cēsis and Sigulda. The highlight without a doubt was walking down the Soviet era Bobsleigh track and sitting in one of the old bobsleighs. I mean, how often do you get the opportunity to do that?! It’s just a shame that we arrived there after dark so I wasn’t able to catch much of it on my phone. Still, this should give you a good taste of what to expect if you’re in the Baltics and want to get off the beaten track. South Estonia and Northern Latvia are wonderful. I really can’t wait to go back.
This post is not sponsored. I was really impressed with the Traveller Tallinn to Riga bus tour and believe in giving credit where credit’s due. I highly recommend doing this instead of taking a regular bus.
